I tried to redirect an addon domain and I couldn't do it. I did everything I should do but I could not effect the redirect. I asked live support and he couldn't do it either after long minute of trial. What can be wrong? It is html website hosted on hostgator. Appreciate your help guys.

Mention what you did ... It is simple, you have to go to Redirects form cPanel and select domain from dropdown, enter the 'redirect to' link and save it!

You may also redirect using php, javascript or htaccess file. Describe in more detail what you are trying to do and one of us here may help you with it :) You may google php redirect, javascript redirect or htaccess redirect to find out more.

I set up redirect in the cpanel redirect section. It was set up correctly but the redirect doesn't happen. The Domain is an addon domain and it is not a primary domain.

Ok, let me try and understand what you are trying to do. You want your visitor to direct to yourmaindomain.com when they enter yourotherdomain.com? Is that it or you need something else?
