I like the way your forum look, i see that you only have about 40 some users, if i were you i would let the guest users get into the forum, let them use it, create a traffic, then i would remove the permission to acces the topics. Anyway it worked for my forum.

Right, just changed the urls to be seo friendly.

 

I've got only one suggestion, try to make your urls more friendlly
