I'm looking forward to get any recommendations for a reliable hosting provider that offers 50GB+ storage and has a good, or very good speed ? Anyone working with a provider who offers such service ? Please leave a reply here. I'm counting on your advices.
in what price range? what sort of server (shared, vps, or dedicated)? these all make huge impacts on things. if you want shared (which I'm guessing, since you didn't specify shared or vps..) dreamhost is pretty reasonable if you're willing to prepay two years in advance. the downside, obviously, is that you may need more growth than that. http://www.dreamhost.com/shared/comparison.html
Sorry for the moment I'm looking for a shared plan. I guess that will affect the speed. I don't want a 2 years contract, I'm looking to pay every 3/6 months.
80GB storage 800GB bandwidth Can Host 3 websites $3.95/month Go Here, Very dependable hosting I have had 3-4 clients use this host and they are very reliable, never a problem with downtime.
First of all, there is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. There are "unmetered" bandwidth where the host pretty much caps your speed. If you require that much resources (50gb diskspace + tons of bandwidth), I can assure you that shared hosting is NOT for you. But if you must use a shared hosting account, go with an overselling web host but keep in mind that you will probably slow things down for the rest of the users on the same box and the host will end up closing your account or try to upgrade it to a dedicated. If you want stability and want to keep your visitors happy, I'd say you go with a dedicated server since it looks like you run some busy websites. My 2 cents.
@quickpot: thank you for your tips. I will get a 3 months plan with shared plan then I will upgrade it asap to a dedicated server. I'm testing the scripts right now. I hope to open the site in the half of october. WIsh me luck.
I did the worst choice of my life when I've signed up with Aplus.net , they are the worst host company in North America I think. My site was offline 40% of the day , now offline at all. Their tehcnical support is 0 nothing, and the people they hire there I think are ex-waiters for technical support. I can't wait to move all my data and domain name from those assholes.
hmmm...you can take a look at media temple's grid server. read more here : http://www.agnivo.com/tech/mediatemple-grid-server-end-of-traditional-shared-hosting-22.html
