Now that I'm actually earning some money online, I'd like to hear what you guys do about your taxes. Do you charge sales tax, do you have to file estimates quarterly, what percent of my income should I put away to deal with taxes? Any good resources for learning about this stuff? BTW, I'm not earning much... so don't lump me into a high tax bracket
Go to www.irs.gov Small Business section… all the info you need is there. Even the downloadable forms you need, including Schedule C to file with your tax return. What kind of business does online fall under? (haven't ever checked myself either *argh*) http://honestwealthgroup.com/wordpress/ If ya have DirecTV... post your questions or e-mail me and I'll answer them here...
you definitely have to pay taxes, I think you will have to pay a self proprietor for your income taxes. I doubt you have to pay sales taxes unless you actually sell something
in the UK we dont have to pay taxes until our income goes over a certain level.... luckily for me, since my job is just a hobby and will never earn me more than £2000 a year, i dont have to pay any kind of sales (VAT) or income tax!!!
