For my affiliate links, I want to use an HTML redirect like this one: <meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://www.example.com/index.html"> Do you think Google and other search engines could punish me because of it? Thanks in advance!
Yes. Never use meta redirect. Look at this: http://www.whooked.com/seo/2740-frendlier-redirects-301-a.html
I think google hates them. Your better off writing about the product or service and having link to it on that page.
Thank you guys for your answers. I'd like to use a redirect, but if it could hurt my "relationship" with search engines, then I'll better do what chris265 said. If anyone else wants to share their experiences, I'm all ears.
