I have a blog on Blogger and have made some tweaks to remedy some Blogger weaknesses with regards to meta tags for individual post pages. I now have my individual posts titles (see "A") set up as the title bar (browser top - see "B") to each of the individual post pages. I also set up the post titles as part of the page meta description (see "C") and included the post title in the meta keywords (see "D"). Like this ________________________________ | This is the title of my post - Firefox | <=B | | Sept 10, 2006 | <h1>This is the title of my post</h1> <=A | blah blah blah... | blah blah blah... C=> meta description = keyword: This is the title of my post - keyword D=> meta keyword = keyword keyword This is the title of my post keyword keyword keyword keyword keyword keyword I'm just wondering how the SE' are going to handle it. Any ideas? Thanks
No, you won't be banned for that. You are making life easier for the SE's (and yourself). as long as you don't do keyword stuffing inthose title tags and all...it'll actually benefit you instead of getting you banned.
Your tactics should not pose any problems for search engines. Keep in mind that your keyword density should stay below 7% if at all possible so that you are not banned for keyword stuffing. There is a tool here http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/ that can check keyword density. Good luck.
