I wonder if there is a problem with my website code.I have my key words and phrases all over my blog, but seem to keep getting ads about blogging. Can someone look at the source code to my blog and tell me if you see anything that needs adjusted ? http://official-xbox.blogspot.com/
Hmmm that sucks, looks like your doing the right thing I dunno why you get that. Theirs an adsense content start and stop code somewhere (never used it) that I think can help with your problem.
Source looks fine, however the word "blog" does appear about fourteen times that I counted on your homepage. Reducing that might help reduce the amount of blog ads with time. I did see three gaming related ads and one blog ad on the top ad block on the homepage.
You have included many <!-- google_ad_section_start --> processor instructions, but only one <!-- google_ad_section_end --> You need to match these up to show where sections start and end. Hope this help. Also, note that improvements won't start immediately, but rather only after the Google AdSense spider has indexed you. That's usually a day or two.
Also, you likely want to include <!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) --> ignore processor instructions also.
mine too. lately i've been getting lots of blogging ads, previously the ads were relevant to my latest post. no idea why either. section targeting is not working for me.
my tech site is working, though sometimes there are blogging ads as well. i guess it's because i have a couple of posts on blogging in general.
What's the reference for the use of these comment lines as "processor instructions"? Whatever the answer to that question, though, Poetrymom, the problem is as tflight indicated: You need more content to offset the repetition of the word "blog" on that page, especially repetition of the word "blog" in your titles (like "Blog of the day" repeated more than once). If you look at the ratios of individual words to all words on the page, I think you'll find that "blog" is near the top of the list.
The processor instructions line, I think was just some text that I had in one of my posts. See what happened with the google begin and end tags is that I put them into the main template in blogger, in the stuff before the body text. It was repeating it as part of the template. I think I nailed it, now to kill some unwanted text....
