I wouldn't take a chance to make sites without using 'nofollow' all of my blogs and forums all put nofollow in all the links automatically, except for a few links that I have to specifically make follow by setting them manually it is best to make all your links nofollow except for a few chosen ones
I do not think it is ruining the internet. However, it does make it a bit harder to build links. It just makes it so new webmasters must use a bit more effort when Promoting their Sites.
I had to check to make sure this thread wasn't from a year ago. 'No-Follow' is not destroying the internet any more than any other technique their algorithm puts into place to keep spammers at bay.
