Could someone help with how and where to add photos in my site?

I have a 20 page or so site I created in Dreamweaver (one of their starter themes).
The site has 20 or so pages with text and a few scripts; and it links to a wordpress blog as well.
The site is too simple looking.
I didn't include a sharp bunch of digital photos from the start, I used a Dreamweaver Starter theme and modified it a little, it is at: www.stevesimon.us
I need to know how to add some nice digital photos I bought (online) without totally disturbing the work already there...
The Content is fine, and I have lots of links pointing to the site and I don't want to lose any of that.
If someone has an idea or two as to how I can add the photos without killing whats there please let me know...
The original Dreamweaver starter Theme used a css page and tables (both) so it makes it very hard to insert or move things:(
    Constructive suggestions will be appreciated:)
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Dear Friend,

First i would suggest you that you should have built this site in any CMS like wordpress or joomla.

It is because, you need the pages unaffected while inserting images or pictures. Moreover, if you want to do something in footer, you may have to do the same footer change in all 20 pages. It will eat your time. But using CMS you can get that done by simply changing at one place.

I believe your site is easily convertible into wordpress. So, try wordpress from yourself. Or get any designer/coder to do.

Joomla can also help. But it may be little heavier in size.

So, i am suggesting these points only because you are managing a site with more than 20 pages.

I hope my points are helpful to you,

    Best Regards,

    Nirmal

Thanks for taking the time to look over the site Nirmal.
I also like Wordpress, I have a blog already created attatched to the site you looked at and it is a wordpress blog.

I am just unsure of how to effect the changeover to Wordpress from the "Dreamweaver Built Site"?

The index.html page, my landing page would have to be a wordpress "static" page, right?

All the other pages I have on my site would also be wordpress pages.

Then my wordpress blog would be incorporated into the landing page:confused:

If you would be so kind as to elaborate a little as to how you would effect the makeover from what my site is now to a Wordpress CMS site?

Are you thinking about using wordprss pluggins that allow for more of a website look?
If so do you know of any examples I could look at?
    Thanks again for looking,
    Steve

    Hi,

There are some plugins which can make some posts sticky on the homepage. In that way you can keep the first page content. Or the first post of wordpress can be homepage.

I think there will be no "index.html" page once you convert into wordpress. however, with htaccess you can attain that effect.

The pages of your site will go inside "pages" of wordpress and you can run blog also in the same installation.

Btw, i am not sure what is dreamweaver built site. I believe that this is nothing but html content. So you can easily change the site to wordpress.

    Best Regards,

Thanks again for your informed reply Nirmal.
Indeed Dreamweaver produces an HTML site, so my finished website is essentially a group of HTML pages linked together.
The Wordpress Idea is becomming more attractive to me :)
