Does anyone have or know of a list that contains a bunch of forum sites that are quick and easy to sign up for and advertise on? Or maybe some useful tips for my approach?

    Any help is much appreciated!

Just keep it to contributing to good forums while advertising in your signature. Not much of a way around it.

Yeah thats what I was mainly thinking but the only high traffic forums site I know that I can contribute to is forums.d2jsp.org, but they're very strict so its kinda a pain. Any suggestions as far as maybe high traffic computer/electronics/anime/gaming/politics $ economy forums would be nice.

Do a search for the keyword and then add forum. Before jumping in with posts read the forum rules, and read posts to get a feel for what the culture and posting practice is. Forums can be a good source of exposure but you need to contribute positively by writing good content. Then it's win win.

The best way to advertise on forums is either own your own forum, or post relevant content that people will actually read and enjoy enough that they will become interested in what you have to say or offer. Then add a signature link with your blog or website in where you will be able to get decent traffic if you're not always spamming.

Personally, you won't get much of a response (if any) from forums that are unrelated to what you are selling/doing. I mean, there is a reason why many people here probably read Shoemoney's blog. It's because we're interested in teh same type of stuff. Likewise, there is probably far less of a percentage of people here interested in college football (not saying there isn't any, but just a far less percentage). You are better off investing your time into forums that are related to what you have going for you. Surely there are some out there, and if there isn't then perhaps you need to make one!

I would advice you to spend some time on top discussion forum in your niche and advertise your services in the comment section

For gaming and some anime, The Spoony Experiment is a good one. I'm a frequent visitor there. But don't mess around there-the mods are quick to ban troublemakers. I'd also recommend Screw Attack and That Guy With The Glasses for the same areas. (If you can get in an early, good comment on a TGWTG video, then that'll really help out, because that site is very popular.)
