a handy little tool that some users here know of is called 'google'. A search on this google tool (http://www.google.ca/search?q=meta+tags) provides these 2 links as the first results: http://searchenginewatch.com/showPage.html?page=2167931 http://www.philb.com/metatag.htm please don't rely on others for research that you can easily do yourself
I disagree. There are some in your list worth knowing. Take the robots tags for instance. If you have pages within your site(s) you do not want indexed or followed, these could be useful {*note: does not stop some crawlers}. As for rating tags, check out ICRA and some of the others. I have found this useful when wanting to reach users in government and education positions that may not be allowed to visit certain sites while at work. Hope this helps!
awesom.. thanks for great replies... Wow! That google search tool is awesom! I wish i would have found it earlier, thanks man =) uuno
you don't need to know about all those for doing your own Meta tags. the only ones to really focus on and make sure you get right is the keywords and description meta tags. hope i helped.
