Could someone explane these meta tags please?

    Hello

    Could some one explane to me what are the following meta tags, what
    they do and what are the benefits, when should i use them? I have the
    problem that i don´t understand what these mean... All imput is very
    welcome!!!

    Ignore them. You only need 2 - the description and keywords tags.

    I disagree. There are some in your list worth knowing. Take the robots tags for instance. If you have pages within your site(s) you do not want indexed or followed, these could be useful {*note: does not stop some crawlers}.

    As for rating tags, check out ICRA and some of the others. I have found this useful when wanting to reach users in government and education positions that may not be allowed to visit certain sites while at work. Hope this helps! :)

    you don't need to know about all those for doing your own Meta tags. the only ones to really focus on and make sure you get right is the keywords and description meta tags.
