Could someone explain this...

Discussion in 'Google AdWords' started by dshah, Jul 23, 2006.

I have an ad for single keyword, when I search it in google I see that my ad is shown sometimes but not always. If I keep hitting search button, its like 5/10 only I get to see my ad. There are other two ads and they appear all the time.

(I have setting of show ads in accelerated mode - show all ads as fast as possible)

    Could someone explain this??

    TIA

Click on Googles suggested daily budget and make sure you have one higher than the suggested. If not your ads will only be displayed some of the time not all of the time.

    Hope it help

Terry is spot on. Google will know the average and predicted daily search volume for that phase. Compares it with your CPC, budget and competitors and displays accordingly.

I'm also suspecting that if they show the same ad to the same user (you refreshing) a few times without any clicks, they rotate the ad for something else in an attempt to get a click, assuming that if you weren't interested the first few impressions you probably won't be on the next few either so it replaces it with a different ad.

    Thanks Tops30

Nice to know someone else agrees although you put it far more succinctly than I.

The daily distribution budget has no influence as accelerated mode is on

I think that ewan' theory is the one that best fit: probably is something related with a poor adRank

You would get a close to a 10/10 if you increase your Quality Score and/or CPC bid enough

Try increasing the daily budget .. its will improve your overall coverage ( ads get displayed evenly all through the day)
