Is a website keyword stuffing when it has a long list of keywords at the end or start of the website, I have seen several websites do this about various topics, SEO, quotes, pets etc. They have a long list such as: page rank, SEO, search engine optimization, keywords, keyword stuffing etc. Does this kind of act get you penalised by Google and other search engines? Or is this different from keyword stuffing?
When the total number of keywords crossed the margin of Keyword Density (more than 5%) that is called keyword staffing. I think Google won't penalize for that but ti will hamper your ranking.
It is an unethical SEO process it occurs when a web page is loaded with keywords in the meta tags or in content for the manipulation of site's ranking in Google's search results
If the list is very long and raises the KWD above a safe level (around 5%) it can be considered stuffing. Many sites do this and it's fine, just don't abuse it.
i would stay away from putting a long list of keywords at the end or beginning of your site. Initially you will rank wll but there is a huge chance you will be penalised if your keywords are found to be over 5% density. Check out your competition, see their keyword density and try to stay within that density. This should help you keep your density low
I have been thinking about doing this on one page of my site, however i do not want to run the risk of being penalised. Can anyone suggest whether or not I should take this action... Thanks
Keyword stuffing is exactly what the name suggests it to be. It is when you stuff your keywords too much into a sentence that it appears unnatural to both the SE and the human users. An example would be like in a sentence of 15 words you would use the same keyword 12 times.
For a 450 words article the keyword density must be around 2-3%. Stuffing of the keyword above this range would be considered a spam and thus penelized by google in terms of very low ranking of youe website.
