Hello everyone, i am sure somebody could help me figure out why i was penalized by google. For the last 2 years i have been trying to get more people on my website and get its rank higher and then a month ago my rank got from 3 to 2 and then from 2 to 0 I did many improvements after that i tried to fix it but its still 0 I have been reading and rereading the webmaster guidelines and i see nothing that i violated, i have placed title and alt tags on most of my content, links to other websites have nofollow tags, all pages have meta tags i have some similar pages but i will fix that, i have tried to do as much SEO as i can and i still have page rank 0. I am not sure if we are allowed to post websites here but here it goes http://www.gamesorbiter.com Please somebody check it out and tell me what i did wrong and how to fix it. This is not an advertisement of my website or anything like that. As you can see i have one banner on my website so i am not going to send you into a website with 1000 popups or harmful scripts. I already posted in the general talk with no luck Please anyone out there i beg you for help. I cant really pay since i have made only $28 with ads but if i can help you in any way i would be glad to and will do my best. Thanks everyone
Hi, Looks ok to me. Couple of small things. There's an 'f' top left corner that shouldn't be there. I miss a real banner at the top in place of the title you've got now. Good luck, Mike
Thanks for responding I know about the little "f" but i dont see it in the php files so i guess its a script that made it. I have been trying to remove it with no luck What do you mean you miss a real banner at the top ? I dont like big flashy banners so i dont put them on my website. I always thought that more players might come if my website is clean and without all the ads and commercials and intermissions and whatever other websites have but i guess i was wrong Well thanks for checking it but i still dont know why my rank dropped from 2 to 0 in one night Anyone else that can help ?
ahh its ok my friends experienced it too their page ranks goes down too.. from 3 to 0 and from 4 tp 2 etc...of what i know google change their algorithm in ranking sites..
aww thats bad Well i already submitted a reconsideration request with google and i hope they will fix it in the near month I think i will make my website even bigger so that i am not ignored by google and maybe it will even attract more visitors. Your site doesn't have much back links. Google shows only 4 back links for your site, and Yahoo 14. Try to increase the outbound links to your site. This will be a continuous and long term process. I have alot more backlinks but for some reason search engines are not showing them If you look on the right side there is a links panel which is full of websites that i have exchanged links with.(not all of them showup) On most of my games the description is what i wrote but 50% of them are from the pack i got and have all the same description Thanks for the feedback i will do my best and work on that. SearchBliss i am not here to only talk about my rank, if you have been reading in my first post i was asking if somebody can help me figure out whats wrong with my website and fix it. Hi, The mysterious 'f'! Open your index file with Notepad and you'll see the f on the first line, just delete it and save the file and re-upload. I guess a banner is a question of choice. Maybe I'd put the logo on a box. Good luck. Regards, Mike
Have you considered that you've cheated your link exchange partners with that? Maybe they've noticed, and removed their own links to your site. I picked one of your links at random, and found no back link. Google has taken steps to downgrade link exchange participants as not in the best interests of the searching public. cheers, gary
Well, your site get's lower PR simply because it doesn't have more back links and traffic enough for that PR. Try to find / buy some quality backlinks and PR might be raised on next Google PR update!
Well the black links check you use is wrong I have back links but they are not many. I am still in the process of filtering the links on my website and leaving the once that really send me traffic and have a back link to my website. I just looked at Google for the links they know about. From five sites, maybe? See links:www.gamesorbiter.com OK that's sane. Why would you say that? Were you expecting to be patted on the head and be told you were screwed, poor baby; it's not your fault? You got good answers. It's not unfriendly to give you the straight poop. Buy a clue. gary
