Could sitemap help sandbox a site?

site was indexed and actually showed up the first week; maybe thanks to sitemap. Than changed template and moved things around, forgot to update sitemap, and site is sandbox(i think). Could sitemap actually have relation to this? If it was just googlebot, it would've crawl correctly even after I changed template. I wonder...

Hi, this is impressive, either google saw this post (LOL) or sitemap does have the effect of googlebot, the site is back in the index.

sandbox(if really exists) should not have anything to do with crawling

From my experience, It could be that if you use google sitemap and have errors like wrong, duplicate or unreachable urls that your site will be sandboxed !

I think that it is better not to use google sitemap.

Isnt the purpose of sitemaps just to tell the user what needs to be fixed on the particular website? i dunno a lot about sitemaps, so this intices me.
