Could site get PR7 or 8 if it has only PR6 links

good question by the way, I was recently thinking about it.
I also think that it can get PR6 7 8, not haveing links to it with higher PR, but what are the factors determining them? I can't think of any, just don't say quallity content, blah blah blah, cause I know many sites with very quallity content and they don't even have PR5

 

I think you could get pr6 with only pr1 domains linking in but you would probably need millions of them.
I think 1 pr 7 backlink is equal to about 100 pr5.
Or so I read somewhere.

 

No, what I'm talking about isn't about links. Their PR or quality or quantity.

PR is 100% determined by incoming links to your site. Content doesn't matter.

Each page can pass approximately 85% of it's PR, but that PR is divided between the outgoing links - so a page with only one outgoing link is going to pass 10X the PR as a page with 10 links on it. To go from a PR6 to a PR7, it requires approximately 6X the amount of PR - i.e. two pages with the same amount of links, (1) is a PR6, the other a PR7 - The PR7 will pass 6x the PR as the PR6 link.

 

If I got a link from every PR 0-2 page ever made, and they were all indexed, I could get a PR 10.

It's about quality and quantity of links. You need both to get PR.

 

i belive good pr6 links and realtive sites links, then u can get pr7 or 8..but still i think there is condition about contents... after how long u change ur contents of sites or updated them.?

Well, if you consider that PR7 can't be achived without PR8 or PR7 links, then how ever in Internet appeared PR7 sites?, where did they come from? where did they get their PR??

This means that PR is assigned also taking into consideration other factors, doesn't it??

 

I didn't say you can't get a PR7 without PR8 or PR7 links - you can. Just because a quarter isn't a dollar, the sum of many quarters can equal a dollar or more. Page Rank is 100 determined by the backlinks to the page - nothing else.
