Could not create new blog in wordpress. - Help me

    HI,

    I have installed wordpress blog into my site. But i couldnot create new blog as it is not create any folder in that name.Why it is that problem?

    Do i need to give any write permission explicitly?

    which version of wordpress are you using? MU?

    To install the normal wordpress (the one from WordPress.org) blog into a folder, just dump it into the folder and upload to your site... thereafter, access the folder and complete the installation.

    HI,

    I am using MU version of wordpress. I don't have any problem in installing. I have installed in my server. The advantage of using MU is creating own blog for every member. But it has to create new folder when creating new blog in the server. Its not created.

    Am in a similar situation installing wordpress.incase your host offers cpanel, you candownload the documentation and learn how to do it using fantastico.

    At a guess, you probably need to change the chmod settings for your root blog folder(the folder that all other blog folders go into). If it goes through the steps of creating the blog but doesn't create the folder, it may not have permissions to create a folder in that directory.
