I've tried that method of covering profiles with invisible DIV, and it brought in a huge increase in traffic. The downside is, they all just hit the back button in less than 10 seconds when they see they're not on myspace anymore. So the value of this method is not much.

;) It depends on what you are trying to sell... Some products work quite well with this method. Just think what those ppl on myspace want and you will get loads of money.

The traffic from myspace is not exactly the best. Even google has said that myspace traffic is not worth much. To give credit though, they are still people visiting your site.. it's just that they are mostly younger and are primarily interested in the site theyre already on... not the link directory they magically ended up at.

The traffic in my opinion is only good for myspace related sites, as it would give an instant appeal and not seperate the user entirely which entices a shock value that leads to the dreaded Back button.

Well, assuming you have an account, think about what you saw. Largely ringtones.
Although I read on a blackhat board about a guy (and actually a LOT of other people) doing quite well with vibrating cock rings? I dunno. The entire idea of anyone buying that confuses me.
Also, any cpa offer does quite well.

I would imagine that you would have to target the (young, in school) audience by selling ringtones, clothing, makeup, body building supplies, and useless crap that kids like. lol

Money on myspace is about making money without making them spend money. Many don't have a credit card. So you run it up with CPA offers, things like that.
Getting clicks isn't the hard part; the hard part is getting the hundreds/thousands of accounts necessary, and bypassing the captcha is the hard part.

It is getting too difficult to make money on MySpace. I just discovered that MySpace disabled ID scan by bots. So, even though the bots can bypass the captcha, they are now useless as they cannot get IDs from MySpace :(
