Could I have some advice on a website?

    Hi,

I currently own a news website with approximately 500 articles each of 200 words or more. The articles are mostly current, with several having been issued every day since the site started. The site is less than six months old and has negligible traffic and is PR1. However, all the articles are unique as is the design of the website (based around Wordpress MU). This is a project for someone who knows more about SEO/eCommerce.

I'm not looking to sell at this time but I'm more interested to know what a buyer would be willing to pay for a website of this type.

    Thanks,

    Curtis Sinclair

What's the topic? You're allowed to post the URL I believe...

My first instinct, although I don't have a ton of experience in this area, tells me that you probably wouldn't be able to sell for very much until your organic search rankings improve.

    Hi,

In my own experiences, the value of any sites would be based on the competition of targeted keywords and their SERP on 3 main search engines.

    all the best,

You would need to show the sites worth, either from profit or traffic. The other possibility is if you have something totally unique that might catch on like a new social network idea, but have little traffic yet. You could find investors or buyers if so.

why not show us your website? Then others can evaluate it for you. You should know one picture is worth a thousand words.

the best way by far to improve your serp is by building back links. Forums, social bookmarking, and blog post in relevant websites or blogs is hard work but will get the job done.
