I wonder what's wrong with my hamster photo blog. I can see that my visitors increase from avg 35 to avg 50 now but there's not even a single click. Is there something which i need to modify like ads placement, keywords...etc? Thanks http://www.hamstersphoto.com
The ad unit at the bottom of the page looks like a complete waste since most people would not even look at it. Try changing the ad locations to beside the photos themselves. Ensure that there is a border between the images and the ads - otherwise it could get you banned.
The top ad is great! Perhaps a 160x600 skyscrapper on the left?? Don't be mislead about ads on the bottom. They can work.
well if you made your blog so people can submit there hamster pictures also you could add a picasa referral because they might need the program to resize pictures etc.. just a idea.
did you ever study who the typical hamster owners are ? i have seen many times hamster in my life in homes but i remember that hamsters always have been pets owned by kids below teenage or early teenage years. hence hamster simply may be a market for youngest ones with little $ to surf for additional hamster related products or services. if the blog would be about ( pedigree ) dogs and cats - then you would tap a market of millions of adults spending hundreds to thousands of $ to get their pet and to care for their pet. you may simply have a blog topic that is a non-$ hobby topic bringing no real adsense revenue at all. look at the price of a hobby, who enjoys the hobby, how much they spend for that hobby ... hamster is a very inexpensive hobby - and thus has lowest price ads most likely as well.
