Hi, I have optimised a clients site and now they want to know the costs of an effective link building campaign. I've never been in such a competitive market before so I'm unsure what to tell her. It's for the budget hotel market in Paris, which is very competitve. The top of the SERPs are mostly dominated by big affiliate websites. My question is how much will a link building campaign cost. If I submit her to all the free directories and then a few paid directories, will she ever be able to compete with the top SERP dominating companies?
Before starting a link campaign, you should do a very smart on page optimization for the 5 - 6 most important search terms for that market. Just a link campaign with mainly free directory submissions and a few paid links, won't do the job.
