    Bit of a shocker. Sorry if this is off-topic.

    Who is Corey Nicholas Rudl? Shouldn't this be in General chat. It is sad, but I haven't heard of him. :(

    A quick Google of "Cory Rudl" netted me with a few thousand results. Mostly indicating "Cory Rudl" to be a marketing 'guru' - mostly interenet and affilite program I gathered (thus the placement in the 'Affiliate" forum. Are we to understand that this is the one and same "Cory Rudl"...? Can't imagine there being many people with that name.

    I don´t mean any disrespect. It is a shame that any of us need to go but what a horrible place the world would be if we all stayed endlessly getting older. This was a young guy in the prime of his life, at the top of his field and look at him. He went out in a blaze of glory. Burning round the track, adrenelin pumping through his veins, with the youth and money and ambition to create a dream, believe in it and die living it.

    I would wish to die like that and not in my bed of old age and bitter could have beens.

    I totally understand your point of view and I agree. It's scary to get old and have to worry about being helpless and abused by people. :(

    I couldn't disagree more. That is not my view of "living life" (although everyone is entitled to their opinion). and about dying young, I'd rather die of old age, having enjoyed my whole life. BTW, old age does not mean you have to be bitter and not enjoy life. JMO :rolleyes:

    Exam,
    You double blamed Crazy Rob for a staement that was mine. I just hope that if you red repped him for it that you will go back and redress the balance.

    I did not say that dying old meant you were bitter and I just can´t be bloody bothered explaining what I did mean. I´ve had beloved rellies drop like stones and rellies die by inches. I know which camp I´d rather be counted in when my day of reckoning comes.

    I assume he was doing what he wanted with his life. There's nothing for you to disagree with really.

    You live your life the way you want I'm sure.

    I was talking to my wife about this at dinner tonight. I take my car to the local race track for some fun a few times a year. My wife had never considered the posibility that I might get into a bad accident. I wonder if Cory's wife knew of the risks...I'm sure he did.

    <side note>
    Today I attended the wake of a 16 year old girl who was killed in a car accident (fell asleep at the wheel) after prom last weekend. It was very sad to see her family and friends going through this.

    No body wants to die, but it happens. People seem to envy those that go out doing something they love to do and remember them for having the guts to "live" life.

    That's not a bad way to go out as opposed to being that poor old man that was so vital at one time, but died withering in a bed old despite that.

    Thank You. I've been to many different forums today that I visit regularly (Sitepoint, ABestWeb, etc), and other than myself, you're the first person who doesn't seem to know who he was.

    I've been in this game (aff marketing, sem, etc) for years, and never knew who he was until today.
