I am guessing there is strong correlation between Page Rank (PR) and Alexa Rank. Below there are some leading websites with both those factors:

Website PR Alexa Rank

Facebook 9 2

Linkedin 9 12

Ebay 6 88

Digitalpoint 6 324

Frihost 4 14 985

But maybe there are independent factors..... I don't really know what Google Index means. I think it must be connected with number of pages of website.
You named sites that are benchmarks. So do not compare any thing with these sites. Google PR does not depend on Alexa ranking.Alexa just shows traffic entering your site.Alexa is inversely proportional to page view. The more page view the less Alexa rank.It is same for the entire site. But Google PR is page dependent and each page get different PR.It is just a matter how many strong, niche oriented links are pointing back to your site.Alexa is independent of back links.
Thank you wordpecker for your comment. I did not know that Alexa rank is associated with incoming traffic. I knew that lower number of Alexa rank more popular website. But I don't know how exactly correlated is Alexa rank number with incoming traffic. What does that number mean? About PR now, how number of PR is associated with number of back links into website then?
