Correlation between CTR and CPC?

I've done some quick math as I've just ended a one month text link stint that's generated me tons of traffic. Just wanted to have hard numbers to understand what had happened and what I can learn.

One interesting thing I found was that as my CTR and number of clicks increased, my CPC directly decreased. Has anyone else seen something like this? I'm not saying this is part of Google's formula, but perhaps we should keep some kind of balance or ???

Just a theory. I'm only concerned because my CPC is already so low... :D

yeah i see the same,i had many visitors for a long time, and then i went to 50 % of that total visitors but my earnings kept the same....pretty weird if you ask me.
Its like fighting against a wall....the more i push the less results i get :p

Ya, I forgot to mention that my earnings had also remained the same, which is why I'm not so much concerned as annoyed (like gretel) that even with higher traffic and CTR, the revenue remains the same.

I'll be keeping an eye on the difference between when I had my ad running on a high traffic source and how it acts on its own. Hopefully I'll remember to post my findings :D
