Correct typo in facebook url

Hi all,

I've recently set up our Facebook campaign for the facebook-page of a website. After having gained enough likes we were given the opportunity to register a facebook-URL (for instance; facebook.com/CompanyName). I accidently registered the url with a typo, and I’ve read in the facebook policy that the url cannot be editted once registered. However, is there some way of correcting the typo in the url, without losing all the likes on the current account? For instance by merging two accounts and using the better url as the leading one? Has anyone had some past experiences with this issue?

I know with personal usernames, you're allowed to make one change. Are fan pages not like that?

change the URLs on your pages is very likely you can do, but the policy of the provider you have to obey.

 

No, as per facebook: "You will not be able to edit or transfer this username once you set it."
