Hi, I'm new to this forum and after some browsing I really liked what I saw so far. I decided to contribute what I believe to be the single most important thing in building a successful business. The idea isn't new, but just recently I've watched a presentation of one of the rare gurus of Internet marketing I trust and look up to and he managed to explain this simple tactic in a way that instantly made me go "AHA!" I think everybody will benefit from it, so here it goes... What I noticed, and was admittedly a part of 4 years back when I was starting out, is that most people online seem to look for places to make money on. They look for every possible marginally legitimate to even criminal way to get a buck out of the Internet. With the exception of criminal actions, I've tried many of the questionable ways. They worked short term, but then my sites got banned or people caught up and started ignoring them. Now, before I go on, let me ask you a question... Have you ever thought to yourself: "If I could only get a million people to send me $1, I'd be a millionaire and nobody got hurt?" I know I did. And I focused on it for almost a year. I was constantly thinking of ways to get many people to give me a small amount of money. I also wanted my sites to rank as high as possible, but I wasn't going to do the work. There had to be a way... if nothing else, look at all the gurus and how easy they say making money online is! What I'm about to tell you, I realized about three years ago, but was never able to put it so simply. It has made me a lot of profit, got one of my sites on the #1 position in Google for a quite competitive term and every month gives me hundreds of loyal followers that are BEGGING me to take their money! All I had to do was to switch from SCARSITY MENTALITY to WEALTH MENTALITY, plus I had to do something about procrastination, which I can talk about at some other time if enough people want it. And this single sentence I heard a few weeks back made me realize just what exactly I did: Instead of focusing on getting a million people to give you $1, focus on how to provide a $100 product/service to a million people and then ask them for $10 if they liked it! A very simple yet extremely profound statement. After I started doing this a few years back, my business went straight UP. And very soon it will go through the roof. Another thing you have to do (I heard it from the same person)... The moment you get an idea, go to work on it immediately and don't stop until it's finished! Speed of implementation is the second factor that determines if someone will become a millionaire or will be stuck in the middle. Get your project up and running as soon as possible. Forget the little things (stolen products, ideas and so on). You'll secure your products when they are already selling. Just go out and DO IT NOW. When you start giving, you will inevitably start receiving. There may be a time buffer between the two, but you will eventually get much more in return than you gave. Just look at this forum for example. The owner(s) clearly didn't have only their interest in mind here. If they did, there wouldn't be so many satisfied members (including me). If you're constantly just taking, it's a constant struggle where to get another soul to take from. This has nothing to do with anyone here.
