Hi, Being just a peon, with high hopes of moving upwards someday soon, I am looking for the correct forum to post about building a HIPPA compliant secure web site. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, mh - the peon www.mhiwebdesign.com
You want your website to be HIPAA compliant, Are you dealing with healthcare, hospitals? I did some research in how to make our patient monitoring system HIPAA compliant, the cost of it was so overwhelming, we just decided to have login and password mechanism for nurses whenever they need to access any informations about patient But how do you stop snooping, etc ?
Thank you for your response. This is for a Pharmacy that only deals with nursing homes. In fact they own the nursing homes as well. They want the nursing homes to be able to log in and look at patient prescription information. My thought is this is going to take an Oracle database, some serious Oracle programming and a lot of money to do the job right. I am looking for input from others on their opinion. Thanks again. markhobbs - peon (for now)
Gotta love HIPAA. They have downgraded some things over the years. You you checked out the HIPAAForums maybe? There are a few websites that concentrate just on HIPAA that you might review since it is a process.
Thanks for your response. Yes I have been trying to sift thru the huge amount of info concerning HIPPA. It is a job. I was hoping someone here had experience with it and could point me in the right direction. I guess these guys are all more interested in talking about their PR.
Well they probably talk more about it because learning it is pretty difficult. If you want to start besides the other site I would start on this HIPAA website
