shouldn't be much of an issue however Google will most likely show only one of the duplicate pages on the SERP's. You might see multiple pages at first but they usually narrow it down to one of the pages. You can also ad noindex to your robots.txt for second site that way you can avoid any possible duplicate content penalties.

Duplicate content can make it less likely that google will index a site. If one or the other site consists exclusively or primarily of duplicate content, it is unlikely to rank highly in google search results. If you care about this, it might be an issue, but it's certainly not going to cause any sort of overt penalty or loss for the site that has the unique content.

Google will only penalize or block a site if you're doing something in violation of their policies, such as if you're stealing other people's copyrighted content without their consent.

JoshDek's advice about using noindex, either in the robots.txt, or on individual pages, is probably the best way to handle this if you want to choose a specific site that you want indexed.
