Core Google Update

Yesterday, Google began their launch of a Core Update. You can read about it here:

Thanks, I checked some keywords I rank for, still there, but traffic has dropped significantly. Not sure what this update is doing.

 

Sounds very serious. Almost looks like they want to reverse some of the past updates. Irrelevant keywords and keyword stuffing is hard to beat, huh? Let's hope that this update is indeed more intelligent and will get good sites back up.

 

Pretty serious update. The roll-out of the Helpful Content Update concluded Friday, which thankfully left my sites unscathed. But one of my sites was hit hard by this one. I expect as per usual, that there will be a refresh down the line to recover some of the losses, but this one is going to require work to recover from, if hit.

 

From what I've read, it isn't penalizing websites, but rewarding sites that Google deems better.

 

Its good for me because i got notification yesterday from SEMrush that keywords position change and many are in top 10 now. Let see what is going on after few more days because for final result, i think we need to wait for one to two more weeks.

 

A very interesting post. I wonder how this will translate into search results

 

The interesting thing is some of my keywords got disappeared after a successful content update and I got them back in the same position after this update.

 

I had just the OPPOSITE on one site.
