One approach that you could take is to make use of Speech To Text software (I'm not selling it!) Most of us can speak more quickly than we can write, so it could speed up your article creation attempts.
Hi, Here's a tip I heard years ago from one of the biggest of the biggest copywriters: Go to a restaurant, get a table by yourself. Eat slowly and... listen to the conversations around you. Really listen. Note the words, the phrases that people use. Note the topics - what are they worried about? What makes them happy? How do they express their fears? What anecdotes do they tell each other? Rinse and repeat. Again. Again... ad infinitum. Now translate all of this into your copywriting! Dot PS - Thanks for starting this thread. You should collect a lot of neat tips and tricks.
I'm quoting from an ebook called "Complete Guide To Ezine Publishing" (it dates from 2001 or so). It's obviously only a small part of the copywriting process, but it's a start: "When writing your headlines, certain words, when combined together, will literally draw your readers' attention to your ad. Below are of few of these 'Power Words' that consistently work. - Breakthrough - Discover - Discovery - Easy - Free - Guaranteed - Hidden - Incredible - Love - Master - Money - New - Powerful Profits - Proven - Results - Revealed - Scientific - Secret - Shocked - Shocking - Ultimate - Uncovered - You - Your There are also the so-called command words: - Discover - Master - Learn - Find out - Improve - Start I'm not sure where I got the second list from... Then there are the "secret headline formulas", but I think this will do for now Hope it helps.
A good way to write well is to read well. Find good articles, blogs and websites and study what it is about them that you like and are impressed by. I'm not saying copy them, but take ideas of how to structure an article and the types of headlines that grab your attention (the previous post addresses this point very well). Also, write about what you are interested in. This will shine through in your writing and make it all the more convincing and passionate, which is what good writing is all about! Good luck
Yes, I do know who it is. But I'd rather keep it to myself if you don't mind. Thanks for understanding. Dot
I suggest you to write like you are speaking on a seminar as a motivator or marketer who are selling his product. You should fiddle with your reader's emotion. Write with your heart.
