Copywriting forum definition says it's for content

During all the debates here about copywriting being for writing intended to induce action on the part of the reader, I never thought to look at how DP defined this forum. Here it is, straight from the index page:

For copywriters writing original content, and related issues content writers face. This is not the place for discussion about CMS or autogenerated content techniques

It seems this forum was intended to be for content writers. I just thought it was kind of funny.

Well of course it's for content writers...
CMS and autogenerated content isn't what this section is about at all. (since they're not about writing.. -> its about managing content or getting content without writing it yourself)

There's no "debate" about it. Copywriting is not content writing, plain and simple. If that's how it was defined, then whoever wrote it simply didn't know any better, or what they were saying; a particular problem when both are vital parts of running quite a few types of websites. If anything it's kind of sad to see misinformation spread among a group that already has a hard time understanding the difference, so hopefully someone will eventually fix the definition, or create another area so both are covered. It's especially a problem when writers themselves don't know what the heck they really are, and when clients know they want one thing, and are bombarded with quotes from people who can't deliver, b/c they get a simple definition screwed up.

I'm feeling a bit stupid because I never noticed it before. And 8everything, the discussions have been about copywriting (the title of the forum) vs. content writing (the description of the forum), not about CMS and auto-generated content.
