I was trying to leave feedback for someone for whom I have done some writing. But it appears you need to have had a "deal thread" to be able to leave feedback. I've looked at what I think is considered a "deal thread". (I looked at those posted by other copywriters.) I'm guessing I can't do this after the fact so I can leave this person an iTrader comment? Or can I? Have I missed some spectacular play-by-play directions on how iTrader works? I won't have a problem writing one I'm just not clear on whether you can have one and work from that one unless you want to make a special offer.

And going forward, should I have a standard one that lists services so I can give and receive iTrader? Any feedback on this feedback system is appreciated. I have recently had some excellent clients from DP and I'd like to be able to leave my compliments.

There has to be some actual thread where they could have found your services, offer, etc. (That's why I try to list my regular prices for something even in sale threads when I remember... so it's still valid if someone sees it and hires me after that offer's expired. - had that happen just this morning actually)

Here's the official thread on iTrader: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=201652

A little bit seems out of date though... for example it says that the user has to post in your deal thread to be able to give / get iTrader. I found out only after becoming a mod that that's not the case.

As for setting up the thread after the deal is completed already, I'd say that's pushing it a bit. It couldn't have occurred there if the thread didn't exist. ;) But it might be worthwhile to set up a services thread for the future. :)
