Copywriters for Link Building

I placed an ad for copywriters to create articles for my site on a site and got about 200 responses, many of them excellent writers. I need to build many hundreds to thousands of links over time as I am targeting long tail keywords as well as main pages.
Question: What is the most effecient use of their copy? Article sites, Ezine, my blogs, squidoo, hub pages? Or should I simply place my backlinks articles on as many of these article submission sites as possible on a measured, sustained basis?

    Any ideas are appreciated..

I think you need to establish a balanced approach. All of the suggestions for content usage are good ones. So get some content to use for each purpose. Many people believe that links from article directories may eventually be degraded. So it might be a good idea to not rely on those links too much. Squidoo & hubpages are great places to host content and create some backlinks. Setup some kind of schedule of a certain number of squidoo/hubpages pages per week, a certain number of article directory submissions per week and a certain number of articles for other purposes.
