Copywrite Violations - Site plagerizing 100's of others

    Hi,
Through Google Alerts, I found a site who has copied sections of our text along with hundreds of other sites content, into a yahoo advertising page.

    http://lightpilecreams.info/used-suzuki-motorcycle-part.html

Is there anything that can be done?
Should I just forget it, its not like he is hurting me in the SE's?

    Thanks for any input

Yeah, if they're violating a major company's copyrighted work, then just tell them and let them be the ones to deal with it.... unless they're stealing your own work of course. Then you can try to do what you need to do to protect your content.

They're US based, just DMCA them through Google and their host and send a complaint to Yahoo and get them banned from YPN.

Contact them, if they do not remove content DMCA them.

It is best to start politely first then increase threats/action.

Always contact the person responsible before going ahead with any actions.

    This is more nicer.

    Peace,

Thanks for the advise, I will contact them and request removal of my content.

After the warnings G gives about using DMCA, It makes me nervous to use it.
But I guess if its clearcut violation there should be no worry

Thanks, I will fire off an email to them and their host.

    LOL, nicer yes.

But this person is intentionally scraping hundreds of other sites to build their sites. This doesn't happen accidently, you need to buy/develop software to do this sort of thing.

Better to drop the hammer on this guy and save the other sites a ton of trouble as well.

Get him dropped from YPN and he may even stop doing it.
