Copywright material on my site

    I have got a feature of "Submit News" which enables a user to submit news to my website .. which i approve.. and is shown on the website..

    Now users they copy news from other sites and they post it on my website and which eventually i end up approving.. is it illegal if they r also showin source of the news.. ?? Lemme know

    The rules are pretty simple. You can't legally publish a full story that belongs to someone else. Whether or not you credit the source is irrelevant. If you don't explicitly have their permission (the copyright holder's; not the permission of the person submitting it, unless they're one and the same), then you can't use it.

    Anyway, this belongs in the legal issues forum; not copywriting. Copywriting and copyright are completely different.
