Hey guys, i have a question.

I just looked at one of my websites copyscape and saw that few websites are posting identical material from my website.

    Articles, pictures - everything.

So my question to you, should i be worried ?

I am sure that Google punish websites who copy content, but does it know that they copied from me and not otherwise ?

I bet they all use my RSS to post. Some of them have links to my site - and thats good but some dont have links to my site. THATS NOT GOOD.

Does it help me when other websites who post my content or it does it hurt me ? What should i do ?

check the http://web.archive.org site to see if your content is listed there and that should prove that you had it first, also if they are just posting your RSS feeds then add a line every now and then maybe in brackets with the content source then you will also get your domain name listed on those pages as well

As long as your pages get indexed first, then all should be fine.

Via Google you should put your article url in the content footer so that it links back to itself.
This way Google knows it is yours if someone scrapes it.

If you do not like them having your content write them and ask them to remove it.
If they have adsense ads you can report them:

And you can always hire a lawyer and sue them.

Yes if they put link as a Source to your website then it will be good for you as it gives credit to your site as well as traffic too! If not then you can ask them to remove it or report to host, they will take action if they continue stole your content!

google knows which one is the original source based on index date. rest will be considered as duplicate. if your own articles dont get indexed first, then there might be an issue but usually on established sites with decent backlinks, new posts get indexed within minutes
