copyscape content is harmful in website?

    i am working on website in which content is copyscaped.please tel me is it harmful in seo in search engines?

    Yes if you have had some of your content copied then this will be picked up by Gooooogle and others as duplicate content and will therefore degrade your own pages... and probably land those pages in the sandbox. I would contact the person who has copied your content immediately and politely request that they remove it. If they get arsey about it then you can move onto legal action.

    There are duplicate content filters in the search engine algorithms which trip at a certain level - this content includes all the code that the search engines cannot read as well as the stuff they can read, so if your pages are too similar you will be penalised for this... if someone else clones your content you will definitely trip the filters and may get sandboxed.
