I have a few pics of myself on my site, and on the pics i put a watermark of my domain, and © 2007. At the moment, i'm writing an article about a product i bought recently. I snapped a few pics of it with my cam. I'm guessing that a domain watermark is ok on them, since i've seen others do this. But what about the ©? Can i use that, since the product in the pic was made by someone else?
You can indeed. You would have copyrights in the originality that you infused. With a photograph the original elements include lighting, angle, depth, etc. You can just use the symbol.
