How would i know if a freelance writer provided me with a rewrite of an already existing article on the internet as it passes copyscape premium search? Is this a copyright crime? Alot of people outsource work on freelance sites these days, how do they know what theyre getting for their money will not get them in trouble later? Majority use copyscape only to check originality. Is there any software available on the internet or elsewhere that lets the buyer check if the article is unique or a mere rewrite of an existing article? Hope everyone gets my point?
Actually, I've had a lot of success with plagarism detector. I think it's even got a free trial... Agreed, you must be careful. Even if you get an article that passes copyscape, it still could be a copyright violation.
It's hard to tell if an article has been rewritten. The only reason I've ever discovered rewrites of my articles is because they've ranked high in Google (like top 10). Neither Copyscape nor Dustball plagiarism checker (when it was around) caught the rewrites. They're just not sophisticated enough to check rewrites. The plagiarism checker that DeenaEsq recommends might help you. You can test it out by putting something you know is rewritten through the checker and see what results come up. The other thing you can do is hire more trustworthy writers, especially if you're considering investing in a plagiarism checker. Save the money and pay real professional writer who writes from experience and knows how to cite sources.
