Copyright of a domain

    Hi there.

    I had bought the domain - GooglePlus.co.il

I was thinking of publishing a blog about Google+ (a year ago) but don't have time for that.

Can I sell it, or will I be violating copyright rules?

    Thanks!

Trademark, actually. But potentially yes, depending on: a) .il domain rules (if any) involving intellectual property, and b) Google.

Unless I'm mistaken, Google seems to have an office presence in Israel also. Thus, they can take action if they see fit.

    Essentially, yes.

A UDRP can be brought against you and you'll be forced to give up the domain name.

But whether or not Google choose to bring action against you is there decision.

And probably, Google won't index this domain name anyway....

No matter when you buy the domain name, if you use it , you still will face the copyright and trademark issues.
So don't waste the time to optimize the domain while it will get you in trouble if Google found it.
