Copyright laws...

    ive been speaking to someone who has an article site that has been coyrighted....

    Now, some other site has basicly re-written his articles but look near enough the same, just some words are slightly changed - which clearly he is not happy about. where does he stand on this ?

    Can he do anything about it ?

    he has emailed them, to no avail.

    Email their host with a proper DMCA complaint and they will sort it out.

    Yeah, the host can shut down the site if they're violating someone's copyright. I also posted recently about how to get an infringing site removed from the three biggest search engines here, which you can do as well to stop them from getting search traffic to the site for the time being at least.
