i have a newsbot importing news by rss and linking back, is this still Copyright Infringement even tho they provided the rss?
Are the RSS feeds in question meant for webmasters to publish on their sites or are they for non-commercial use such as RSS readers?
i just noticed some with says non-commercial notice on the bottom of the feeds so i removed them, others doesn't say anything about the feeds or on site
RSS feeds are for visitors of the site, not for commercial use/display by other sites unless express permission has been granted.
shouldn't they address this on the web site or on the feeds ? I see some and i removed them if they say non-commerical use. If doesn't say i leave it alone
They own the content. Copyright law does not require they post a notice saying "do not steal or use without permission". You can do what you want, but you are at risk for copyright infringement. If they don't mind you using the feed, they will grant you express permission.
