It's my understanding that for me to obtain a Privacy Policy and Terms of Use agreement unique to my site I need to have the site copyrighted, is this correct? If so can someone point me in the right direction for a affordable and reliable service that will do this? Thanks, -Paul
This is the wrong forum for this question. This is copyWriting, which is when you write copy to attract customers and readers to a service or product. You are asking about copyRight law. But still, to answer your query, as far as my understanding goes you do not have to do anything to copyRight any content that you create. Anything you create is copyRighted by you automatically. But trademarks are different from copyRights. If you create a logo, such as the Apple logo for the Apple Inc, or the name "iPad" for Apple Ipad, even the name "Apple", what you have is a trademark. To register which you have to contact some authority etc. I think US has a Patents and Trademarks office. Overall I don't think you need to do anything here - just post the privacy policy, terms of use and the copyright notice etc.
