Copying the website of compititor

    I just assisted one of my customers in bringing down a website that had *partially* copied their contents. It's not just the duplicate content penalty you might get from search engines, we made sure that their ISP closed down their site because of copyright infringement, and those guys are going also to get sued. So copy things at your own risk, it's illegal!

    Well, if you are planning to steal your competitors traffic by copying his content, then it would be of no benefit.

    Reason?

    - He has modified his website for high traffic... you need to double your efforts to stand with him.

    - There are huge chances that Google will filter your duplicate content (same titled articles), because your competitor's site has already established his credibility and reputation on SEs.

    I use a tool called ‘Keyword Country’ which analysis the competitors content and website structure and deciphers which content is pulling how much traffic. Maybe that can help you know what kindof content you will need to beat your competitor.
