Wikipedia text is allowed to be copied under the public gnu license.
Every page has a link to the license.

Can a webmaster make a website with all content verbatim from wikipedia? Also, can one display ads - google, other affiliate programs?

I understand that wikipedia has one condition - that whatever is created, anybody must be allowed to copy it under the same license.

    Could someone guide?

I've been told 'yes, but always give credit to the original author'

Any example or any site, can anyone post a link? Any popular sites using it?
