This is unfortunately a waste of time 99.9% of the time and a screenshot is also not proof of much unfortunately. Suing is also 99.9% a waste of time. That is the problem - the effort is not worth the time and/or money. How far away physically is the copier? Are they in another country with different laws and requirements and enforcement? How much money will you get for the infringement of 4 articles? How much time will it take? Do you even know or have the identity of the owner? Unfortunately the easiest way is to first try to target the host and force him to take down the site or face a lawsuit or bad press resulting in lost business. Let the host know that with the trouble you'll cause or rabble rouse, it isn't worth his while to keep this joker on his server. That doesn't mean you don't notify the owner by the usual means. If the email address doesn't work, try the address listed at the registrar. If that bounces or doesn't work, report it and try to get the domain revoked. Let your revenge be making life more difficult for the wrongdoer. Most takedown methods only work in the US or Europe and, even then, you face challenges in the event of non-compliance. The easiest and cheapest method of justice? If the copiers are in a foreign country and your currency is of value, hire a local to explain the situation to the infringer.
I usually send them one notice, and I give them 48 hours to comply. If they don't, I go "above their head" to Google, advertisers, and their host. Haven't had a problem getting things taken down at all yet (it's not always quick, but it's effective). No need to waste time asking them 3 times. That's the great thing about having them de-indexed. You can have them removed from Google, Yahoo, and MSN no matter what country they're located in - their location doesn't matter, b/c the index is run according to US regulations. Foreign hosts can be a bit more difficult to work with, but that's why it's good to "attack" from multiple angles - hosting, indexing (their traffic), and advertisers (their income). It's unlikely you won't hurt them in some way that would influence them to remove your work.
Very true. Figure out what works best. Getting them out of every search engine is a PITA. And while you want to break their legs and extract money, this is probably the most practical thing you can do to help yourself.
I will not encourage you to implement that right click disable code, it will surely hamper your real visitor.
