Read in thread 1, dumbass: it's not visible to the public ... this one is

Seems most people dont think copying sites is a big deal, i am not alone then ;)

Your a funny guy :) My largest site is one of the biggest games sites on the internet and ranks top 5 on google for many of my major keywords. If you think you could get any higher then this you must be on crack.
Also as ive said before i dont post my site links in forums, i dont run a silly little site with a few hundred hits a day i run a site with 80,000+ uniques a day and i dont want it in threads like this. The only couple of people from this forum who know what site it is are the ones who have advertised on it and unless you can afford a minimum of $3500 a month you wont find out. Bye

    ROFLMAO...$3,500? LOL, LOL,,,,now I am amuzed!!!!!!!!!!!

You have no clue do you? I list piss ant sites in my links...I own roughly 100, $3,500 is CHUMP change.

So you don't want the challenge then I take it? 80k daily kids under 12 who can't afford anything and suck up resources, or a few thousand visitors a day who have money...which would I pick

---edit,,,ohwell the fun is over have fun with your kiddies

My friend i listed $3,500 as a minimum, obviously i do not offer just one advertising campaign.
As for the remark of 12 year old kiddies using resources...Have you heard of ebaumsworld? That site is aimed at young people but somehow the owner has become a millionaire from it...Wow i guess the kids who use his site just use up resources huh.
Ofcourse ebaums world is a hell of a lot larger then my site but with 80k+ a day i can command thousands a month from adbrite sales alone, then when taking into account fastclick and casalemedia earnings, on site advertising earnings and also the money i make from game downloads at a min of $20 each you do the math.
Oh and for your information kids and teens is one the most lucrative businesses online and possibly offline.

-If i ever want to give up smoking ill go to smokeoutpatch for sure :) Looks amazing

lol, you totally missed the point of my original post. and wow ripping on an affiliate site thrown up to make a few extra bucks, yeah you're a real trip.

HINT, HINT, HINT my main sites are not listed in my sigs as well!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm done with ya, but incase the point zoomed over your simple thinking head. Lets say you have a site, whatever site you have it does not matter. You're ranked number 5, someone even if they do not outrank you totally copies your site and you move down to position 12 for your top keywords in which you were number 5. Would you still have the attitude of 'hey it don't bug me?'

Instead of trying to make a pissing match try thinking for once.

guess it's a gamble if you are ripping content from other sites, out of the billions of people on the internet all it takes is one person to point it out (lol nintendo, that's pretty clever though) but generally there isn't anything that is truley original, it's a whole generation of cut n' pasters just because it is somthing that they admire, you could almost take it as a compliment if you were so inclined, wouldn't make such a big deal over it, after all you didn't make the words...just put them together in a string
But it's pretty frowned upon in almost all circles so I give it a big Ξ|| (thumbs down)

I’ve had so many people copy my material, design, names, etc that one would think there is not an ounce of originality left in the world. In the end (most of the time), they are wasting their effort; their heart is not into it, they are just after perceived profit which hinders them from the start and prevents them from succeeding.

Jaysus will you people climb down from your egos. Who gives a fu*k if you earn $10 or $1mil personally I come here to learn not to listen to your bloated egos.

In response to the question - I think 99.9% of people dislike copycat's, and I'm of the same opinion.

P.s I earn $2mil a month and my website isn't in my signature LMFAO :D

lol I actually agree with that, my point was not how much you make...Could be $200 a month and someone stealing your content reduces it to $120, or $50,000 reducing to $35,000.

    both examples suck baxxs

Agreed, you work your arse off for some bast*ard to come along and nicks your content. Its happened to me loads, on my millionnaire site :)D jokin!) and I used to go mental, but now I think fook it.. and anyway it always comes to those who wait ;)

Old Wise Guy said in another post though, if you advertise your site in forum signatures, you have an higher chance of it getting copied.

Just know that as hard as you might work to create somthing original, there's always someone out there that's working just as hard to steal it.

    -note: Don't steal this it's mine :)

What is interesting to see is that when voting anonymously, the opinions are 50/50. 1/2 of DP members don't think that it was really a big deal.

Imitation is/was the greatest form of flattery, then google invented the duplicate content filter, still the principle remains.

I find the statistics quite sad but since our vote is not shown publicly we don't know how many of the other forum members came over and voted. I saw a user online on this thread with no posts. Found it interesting.

ummm I think some of the other votes might be because of the wording

What do you think of copycatting? Big Deal! (like who gives a shit, big fucking deal!)

What do you think of copycatting? No big deal (yes it's fine)

I'm sure there are a lot of people on this forum with little to no posts. Doesn't mean a thing. Some people join forums strictly for getting information to help themselves and accessing parts that won't be accessable to them if they weren't memebers.
