I have some problem with copyright infringement. A competitor copied our site, as in really copied. They had all our pictures and text content, yet they changed the names and place and stuff. We already emailed them telling them to take it off however up to now our content is still plastered on their site. What do I have to do? What steps do I need to take? I want these guys punished.

There really isn't that much you can do...

Write to them tell them you will take legal action.
send a copy to their hosts abuse department.

If they both choose to ignore it you either have to get a laywer onto it..which to be honest unless you are making a big income is not worth it or resort to less than legal tactics

    It happens all the time.

Get in touch with them and put the frighteners on them. See how they react.

You can report them and stuff but honestly, I heard it doesn't help that much. You could also just give them a bad reputation by writing about them and saying they're stealing your content.

Tell this webmaster that you will contact his host and Google if he doesn't drop your theme.

Many don't care about Google, but they do if they can't get on the Internet because their host temporarily shut their power off. Sort of speak. :)

If it's truly copyrighted (not, "I made it"), contact their host with proof.

I had the same problem loads of times. I emailed them all telling them to remove within 24 hours or i would commence legal action.

One actually did remove content, the rest just ignored me and there was sweet fa i could do about it. So id suggest you try this then just move on
