I have several war manuals written by the US Government in the 1940s (and in the public domain). They are in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, but they contain watermarks that prevent you from converting the PDF into Microsoft Word. However, you can easily copy and paste the text into a Microsoft Word document by page. The average length is about 130 pages. I am looking for someone who can copy and paste the text into a Microsoft Word file and then fix the minor formatting problems that may result. If you like military history, this may be a fun job for you--you get to read and learn as you work PM me if you want more information before submitting a rate. Thanks!
Did you try removing the watermark? Use the TouchUp Object tool on the Advanced Editing toolbar (View ->Toolbars ->Advanced Editing). Click on the watermark to select it, Right Click-> Delete. With Acrobat 8 there is a new menu item under Document ->Watermark, where you can add and delete watermarks.
thanks, but the watermark is not there when reading, onlyi when printing or trying to convert! Does that make sense? it's a pain in the @$$
