Interesting to see what happened to my thread which I thought was only a story about the history of the name cops. Growing up in Germany and now living in New Zealand I think the police is doing a great job. Just imagine what would happen if there are no cops tomorrow or if they would go on a strike for a month. I don’t think I want to be on the street in any country without cops. Of cause there are bad cops around like in any other profession as well. That’s just human nature and can not be avoided. Just think of the professional fire fighter who likes to light fires – still firefighters do a great job and we do need them. Bottom line for me is we need cops and they do a great job. I like the flat foot Where is this one comming from?
